The poise and confidence of students are strengthened through music and drama performances performed for a variety of audiences. Winter concerts are scheduled throughout the month of December and are great events to bring extended families. The schedule below includes both public and private student performances.
December 1 - (public) SHS chorus and band perform at the town’s All Lit Up parade, 4pm
December 3 - (public) SHS chorus performs for the School Committee
December 4 - (private) McCabe 4th grade students perform for the residents at Cortland Place Assisted Living facilities.
December 7 - (private) SHS chorus and band perform for local nursing homes
December 10 - (private) LaPerche 4th grade students perform for the residents of Brookdale Assisted Living facilities.
December 10 - (public) GMS chorus’ winter concert at SHS, 7pm
December 11 and 13 - (private) SHS chorus and band perform for elementary students
December 12 - (private) SHS chorus and band perform for rotary members
December 12 - (public) SHS winter concert featuring SHS chorus and band performances at 7pm
December 18 - (public) McCabe students perform in Sing-Along concerts for family and friends at McCabe. Grades K-2 : 9:45 a.m.
Grades 3-5 : 1:45 p.m.
December 19 - (field trip) McCabe and LaPerche 4th grade students perform at the Rhode Island State House at 10:30 a.m.
December 20 - (public) GMS band performs at SHS at 7pm
December 21 - (private) LaPerche students share holiday songs at a school-wide town meeting at 9:30 a.m. at LaPerche.
