Samantha Armstrong teaches a variety of science courses at SHS, including Forensics, Aquatics, and sometimes Anatomy. She also coaches Science Olympiad. Congratulations to the 120 student scholars inducted last night into the French and Spanish Honor Societies at Smithfield High School!
We would like to congratulate Ava Brule, junior at SHS, for taking first place in the US and first place in the State of Rhode Island for her winning essay from SIFMA (Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association) Foundations InvestWrite competition. This is the culminating activity for the Stock Market Game. Essays are judged by industry professionals across the nation. Congrats Ava!

Congratulations to Mr. Maker and the Gr. 6 & Gr. 7 Chorus groups for their excellent performances and conduct at the RI Choral Festival. Gr. 7 earned a rating of EXCELLENT. Gr. 6 earned a rating of SUPERIOR (this is only the fourth time in Smithfield's history for such a rating at the secondary level).
