Happy 100th Day of School for Pleasant View's grades 1-5! Tomorrow will be our kindergarten's 100 Day of School!

Pleasant View students, in kindergarten through grade two, met virtually this morning to read "Kind Katie" with author Lauren Cardoso. Ms. Cardoso was so impressed with all of the wonderful "chat questions" she received from students. This special event was another example of how much all of our children really embrace the importance of being kind to others! There is "a bit of Katie" in each one of them!

Due to the difficulty keeping up with today's storm, Smithfield will be having a Valentine's snow day, rather than a 2-hour delay. NO DISTANCE LEARNING. Stay safe and warm, everyone!

Thursday's Theme: Connections at PVES Quote: "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members." - Coretta Scott King

What a wonderful morning we had today as the entire school virtually met author Jeff Kubiak. Mr. Kubiak read his beautiful book to us: "A Drop of Kindness". Students were able to use the "chat" to ask Mr. Kubiak questions. It was a very special experience for the Pleasant View family!

“Remember, there’s no such thing as a small act of kindness. Every act creates a ripple with no logical end.” -Scott Adams

Congratulations to Pleasant View's Spelling Bee Winners!
1st Place: Jackson Ware, 4 White; 2nd Place: Cameron Young, 5 Lenore; and Alternate: Kaia Wennerstrom, 5 Beaudette. We are very proud of all sixteen contestants! The District Spelling Bee will take place on February 17th.

"It Starts with Hello!"
“It only takes a minute to say, Hello, but it can make a big difference in someone’s day!” -Katie Summers

HAPPY KINDNESS WEEK!
What is a connection?
“A connection is the energy that exists between two people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.”
- Brené Brown.

Welcome to Kindness Week at Pleasant View! Please know that this is a theme we embrace for every week!

Pleasant View fifth graders, parents, and Mrs. Pleau will be riding and walking in Smithfield's All Lit-Up Christmas Parade today. As always, it will be a very enjoyable event!

A special "thank you" to Mr. Michael Rush for making sure that Pleasant View was able to live stream today's Veterans' Day Tribute!

Tomorrow is MISMATCH DAY! Feel free to wear the silliest outfit that does not match at all.

Happy Pajama Day at Pleasant View!
