SMITHFIELD SCHOOL DEPARTMENT
TEXTBOOK LOAN PROGRAM

Non-public school pupils who are residents of Smithfield may apply at the Smithfield School Department, 49 Farnum Pike, Smithfield, RI on June 17, 20, and 21, 2011 from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm for the loan of textbooks in Math, Foreign Language, Science, English and Social Studies for students K-12. Previous school year books must be returned BEFORE any new books will be issued. Requests must be made in person. The textbooks must be on the State Approved List.
Those requesting textbooks must provide the correct TITLE, AUTHOR, PUBLISHER, COPYRIGHT DATE & ISBN # for each book.
Books that are on the state approved list will be supplied through the school department. Smithfield DOES NOT reimburse for books purchased through other sources.
Also, bus passes will be given out on these dates for students eligible for transportation. Proof of residency is now required for book loan and bus passes.
