Strategic Plan
On January 18, 20, and 21, 2012, many dedicated members of the Smithfield community volunteered hours of their time and showed great care for the children of our town through their participation in the development of our Strategic Plan. The time, commitment, and insight of the team members helped to shape a vision for our district to continue on the path of excellence. The planning process included collaborative research, extensive and productive dialogue, and thoughtful consideration of the needs of all members of our community, resulting in overarching goals that will guide our district over the next five years.
Over the next several months, we will be gathering teams of educators, parents, community members, and other stakeholders to create specific Action Plans to address each of the five overarching goals from our Strategic Plan.
The development of the Smithfield Public Schools Strategic Plan is a shining example of how our community can come together for the purpose of making it a better place to live and work.
