Affirmative Action Policy
The Smithfield School Committee has adopted an affirmative action policy designed to meet the rights granted to all persons under the law.
This document spells out the efforts that the School Department shall undertake to promote equality of opportunity. The Smithfield School Committee has the overall objective to provide and maintain a work force that can provide the highest quality of educational services to the Town of Smithfield. In preparing the plan we seek to ensure that all people have an opportunity to compete for jobs.
